His death certificate lists the names of his parents, indicates that he was 62 years of age at time of death and that he died of lung disease. Howard HAVENS Sr. married Sarah CARTER. on 25 Aug 1832 in Tazewell County, Virginia. Sarah CARTER, born in Virginia, was the daughter of William and Anne (FRENCH) CARTER. Sarah Carter HAVENS died 9 March 1871 in Hamilton Township of consumption. She was 58 years 11 mos of age. Both Howard HAVENS Sr. and wife, Sarah (CARTER) HAVENS are buried Hamilton Cemetery, Jackson County, Ohio.
